Proud to have played a part in the success of our customer Chloros

Chloros Environmental, which operates from the Potter Space business park in Droitwich, is one of Britain’s fastest growing hazardous waste management and waste recycling companies.

While we cannot claim credit for this achievement, we believe we have played some part in its success.

Starting life as a waste broker, Chloros wanted to grow the business into a fully operational hazardous waste management company.

Our Droitwich site was able to facilitate this transition as it is a top tier COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards) site and meets all Environment Agency regulations. It also has external bunds to prevent any hazardous spillages escaping into water courses.

Furthermore, it is perfectly placed near a large numbers of waste creators and disposers, enabling Chloros to efficiently collect the waste, bulk it up and transfer it for recovery or disposal.

The company also chose the business park, as it provided the space to expand its operations to accommodate future growth.

And this growth has been very impressive.

When it opened its new facility on the business park in 2013, Chloros operated from a single Portakabin and a 4000 square foot building. Today, it occupies an administration office, 20,000 square feet of warehousing and has additional welfare and laboratory units.

As with all five of our strategically placed business parks, the others being in Ripon, Selby, Knowsley and Ely, we work closely with our customers to provide them with high-quality industrial and commercial space which can be adapted to meet their needs. In addition, we can provide flexibility onsite to enable them to expand.

We are therefore extremely proud of the way Chloros has grown with us to become a market leader in its sector.

Commenting on the relationship,Richard Hurdle, managing director of Chloros Environmental, said,

“The reason we chose the Droitwich Business Park was due to its convenient location and that fact that it had the appropriate accreditations for our facility.”

“We are extremely proud of our progression over the six years we have been working from here.  There is no doubt Potter Space has assisted enormously to help us to expand our operations. By working closely with us, they identified our needs, and then provided the flexibility and facilities to help us meet our projected growth plans and to make Chloros an industry leading services provider.”

“Its customer relationship is first class and reflects the ethos within the company.”
