Exploring heritage around us: Potter Space supports RICS Matrics Leeds walking tour through Holbeck

Understanding where we’ve come from is key to building what’s next. At Potter Space, we believe that exploring how our local communities evolve helps us better understand how modern businesses thrive. That’s why we’re thrilled to sponsor the upcoming RICS Matrics Leeds Walking Tour, taking a deep dive into the rich history, vital conservation, and bold regeneration of Holbeck.

Taking place on 9th September, this free guided tour is delivered in collaboration with Leeds Civic Trust and Carey Jones Chapman Tolcher. As part of our commitment to the local property community, Potter Space is proud to contribute £300 to host post-walk lunch and refreshments for all attendees.

Jason Rockett, Managing Director at Potter Space, commented:

“We are proud to sponsor this year’s RICS Matrics Leeds Walking Tour. Discovering our city’s industrial heritage gives us vital insight into how our communities and mixed-use landscapes have been shaped over time. We look forward to seeing local property professionals come together to celebrate Leeds’ past and future.”

Once the pulsing heart of Leeds’ industrial economy along the canal, Holbeck played a pivotal role in the Industrial Revolution. Today, it stands as a focal point for transformative urban renewal. Led by industry experts, the tour will trace Holbeck’s story along the canal to The Junction, as well as Leeds I and Leeds II—offering attendees a front-row look at how historic preservation and forward-thinking development intersect.

We look forward to welcoming attendees to the tour and continuing to support events like this into the future.
