Ely Business Park secures two long term leases supporting business growth in the region

We have secured two new leases at our Ely business park, reinforcing its role in providing the essential infrastructure businesses need to thrive in the East of England.

These lettings demonstrate Potter Space Ely’s ability to deliver practical, fit-for-purpose environments for small and growing businesses whose requirements go beyond conventional office space.

Each unit has been adapted to meet the specific operational needs of its new occupiers, supporting both industrial and office functions and enabling storage and administrative activities to operate seamlessly side by side.

By tailoring space around real-world business requirements, Potter Space Ely continues to support companies at the heart of the region’s transport and construction supply chains.

Premier Building Products has signed a 10‑year lease in Unit 4. Within this plot they are combining industrial storage with office accommodation. The business required a flexible footprint that could support both day‑to‑day administration and heavy‑duty operational use.

Alongside this, Craig Hobbs Commercial has agreed a five‑year lease, taking industrial space to support its HGV repair and maintenance operation, which serves fleets across the East of England. The business specialises in keeping commercial vehicles on the road, providing a critical service to the regional logistics and transport supply chain.

Andrea Morley, Head of Asset Management at Potter Space, comments: These are exactly the kinds of businesses we’re proud to support. At Ely, our business park is designed to provide local operators with the space, flexibility and infrastructure they need to run operations efficiently day to day. By offering practical, adaptable environments, we enable businesses to focus on what they do best while having the confidence and capacity to grow.”

Craig Hobbs, Director at Craig Hobbs Commercial, added: “Having the right space makes a real difference to how we operate day to day. Potter Space Ely provides the room, flexibility and functionality we need to support our customers efficiently, while enabling our team to work seamlessly across different parts of the business. It also gives us a strong base to put down roots in the area and build for the future.”

Pete Deller, General Manager at Premier Building Products said: “An important requirement for us was having both office and industrial functions operating side by side under one roof, which will help streamline our operations as we continue to supply building materials across the region. Potter Space Ely has supported this by providing a flexible, well-designed space that brings these elements together, allowing us to operate more efficiently and position the business for continued growth.”

The diversity of businesses operating at Potter Space’s Ely business park highlights the continued demand for high-quality, sustainable industrial and logistics space across East Anglia.

With lease terms of 10 and five years respectively, both agreements demonstrate strong tenant confidence in the local market. Set against a backdrop of ongoing economic uncertainty, these long-term commitments reinforce Potter Space Ely’s reputation as a dependable base for businesses looking to invest, grow and plan for the future.
