20 Miles, One Goal: Target Surpassed for St George’s Crypt

Harrogate Ringway sponsored walk: target smashed for St George’s Crypt

On September 11, 2025, a 16-strong team set out to tackle the 20-mile Harrogate Ringway in support of St George’s Crypt, turning a tough challenge into a day of camaraderie, purpose, and community spirit. From the first steps to the final mile, the goal was clear: to raise funds that translate into hot meals, safe accommodation, and vital support for people facing homelessness in Leeds. Thanks to remarkable generosity, the original £2,000 target was surpassed, with £3,380 raised to help make an immediate, local impact.

Fundraising milestone

Surpassing the goal was a proud moment for the team and supporters alike—proof of what can be achieved together when a community rallies behind a cause. Every donation will help St George’s Crypt provide practical care, from hot meals and safe beds to tailored support that helps people move from crisis to stability. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated and shared encouragement along the way—this generosity is already making a difference.

A challenging, fun day

Covering 20 miles around the Harrogate Ringway made for a demanding but uplifting day, with morale high and motivation sustained by a shared sense of purpose. The circular route offered variety and momentum, helping the group keep pace, support one another, and finish together with smiles as broad as the miles covered. It was both challenging and fun, and it strengthened teamwork at every stage.
